Pusan weather is classified as humid subtropical continental, and is a direct result of the city’s location on the southeasterly coast of the Korean Peninsula. A lively harbour city, Pusan weather enjoys two distinct seasons: summer is hot and humid while winter is cold, wet, and windy.

Weather in Pusan during summer is characterized by hot humid days, with average daytime temperatures that are known to reach 30°C in August, and hitting the highest pointing of more than 35°C during the sunniest of days.

During the months of May through to July make up late spring and early summer, Pusan weather is usually cooler than inland districts due to the ocean influence. Late summer and early autumn, or to be more precise, August and September, are usually hot and humid. Pusan weather during winters is cold and moderately dry with high winds, but a great deal milder than other regions of Korea except Jeju-do and quite a few islands of the southern coast.

Pusan and the neighboring areas have the least amount of snowfall compared to other regions of Korea due to its location. Average annual snow fall is only about 6 days per year. The little accumulation of snow can successfully shut down this harbor city for the reason that the hilly terrain and unfamiliarity of motorists with driving on snow causes dangers.

Winter weather in Pusan is considerably colder, when daytime temperatures average just 3°C and frequently fall below freezing at night. March indicates the arrival of spring, with temperatures rapidly rising and daylight hours increasing. The average annual daytime temperatures in Pusan are around 17°C.
